South Beach Baby: A Quilt for Elijah C., April 9, 2009
Made for Matt's baby boy Elijah Stephen. I made his sister Savannah a quilt at the same time.
The fabric for "South Beach Baby" comes from Paducah when Lisa and I went to the 2007 American Quilters Society show and
had a chance to shop in the big Hancocks of Paducah store.
Two of the fabrics are "Playa Sur" from Free Spirit and the third is a pastel paisley stripe from Kaffe Fassett.
I added plain yellow, plain orange, and lime green dots.
The pattern is from a quilt magazine. It is quilted in wavy lines echoing the beach print on the back, using orange, yellow, blue, and green threads.
