This baby quilt, done in the scrappy pattern known as "Chinese Coins," was done for HI aide Yolanda's baby boy. Many of the strips were already made -- maybe some received in a scrappy swap at the local quilt guild, but I took lots
of the rectangle strips apart to add lighter, brighter, more "I-Spy" like fabrics. I used material I already had, including fabrics from several previous quilts and from old dresses and skirts of mine.
An embroidered label on the back has "blanks" to write in the baby's name and birthdate with a fabric marker.
