Dad William E. wears Hawaiian shirts to work most days,
so when I saw this great Hawaiian shirt print, I bought 3.5 yards. The beach scene were inspired by a quilting calendar print.
I had lots of fun collecting different sand, water, and sky fabrics, as well as
finding different embroidery designs for the beach (shells, beach umbrellas, chairs, balls, sandcastles, seagulls, turtle), sea (various boats, dolphin), and sky (kite, seagulls, stars, moon). I digitized the picnic basket from scratch.
