1960s Utility Quilt, Jan 2016

One of the ladies at the thrift store handed me an old quilt top and asked if I could put it together with batting and backing. It was a pretty big top, about 88" square, made of what looks like old dresses and shirts, maybe from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. The top was in pretty good shape, and needed only a few patches here and there, and a couple of strips on the outside to square it up. An old sheet from Mike's bachelor days made a good quilt back. It has been quilted in random straight lines.
