Nothing But Net : Special Olympics, Oct. 2009

My friend Sonia found out that Amanda, another SirsiDynix employee, was working to raise money for the local Special Olympics. At first we were going to do a group project, but then I decided to just do it on my own with the basketball fabrics that I'd had for several years. I only had to buy the orange basketball print and the blue net/rope print (this fabric is a coordinate for a sailboat fabric).

Thank you so much for the beautiful quilt! It was absolutely gorgeous! Everyone on the Special Olympics committee was so touched by your thoughtful gift. They wanted me to express their gratitude for your generous contribution for our fundraising efforts. They auctioned the quilt off at Sunday.s unified bowling practice, and I believe you will be happy to know it went for $506!!!! As you can imagine, we are thrilled! We are so thankful to have people like you in our community.
