Patriotic Kaleidescope, 2023
I'd purchased Ricky Tims' book Kool Kaleidescope Quilts in order to try a different sort of quilt making, and it was moderately successful. It is difficult to design the look of the final quilt -- you just have to let it happen (though I did a lot of planning to cut down on the surprise factor). I used many fabric scraps, but did go off my fabric diet to purchase patriotic prints.
