Old Stars in a New Quilt: Market Place Quilt, May 2013
Sometime in summer 2011, someone donated a quite a few unfinished quilt blocks
to A New Leash on Life Market Place. This is the first quilt made from
part of that donation: 18 "Kite" blocks made from 1970's fabrics
and muslin.
I sewed each of them into larger, tilted blocks with fabrics from my stash,
laying them out in 4 rows of 4, with each row tilted in the opposite direction. The remaining 2 blocks are on the back.
I used muslin and stash fabrics to make checkerboard bands at the top and
bottom of the quilt, making the quilt into a rectangle.
Put into the MP shop in May 2013, priced at $40.
