Sail Away, Dec 2018-Jan 2019
Mom's Christmas present (a little late), uses the pattern "Scrap Happy Sailboats" purchased from QuiltFox Designs.
The red sailboat print in the corners are from a dress Mom made in the 1960s (this fabric was also used in a shirt for 9 year old me and a Barbie dress)
The red/white polka dot "sail" was made from a headscarf Mom wore when painting or staining projects.
The blue/green plaid border is from thrift store shirt.
Apparently the nursing home laundry needed to bleach this quilt, so its current appearance is a little faded -- the dark blue background of the sailboats is now a purple-ish gray...
