D is for Darby: Baby Quilt for Darby Alise

Made for the new baby daughter of one of my SirsiDynix colleagues, Jason McK. Since Jason's a big fan of zombies, I used a dark fabric transfer to add a Zombie to the "Y-Z" block on the front. These fabrics are all from the Back to School series by Avlyn. I found the allover print, the alphabet stripe, and the alphabet blocks at Hobby Lobby. Almost everything else came from my existing fabric. The front is a simple sash-and-block setting of the alphabet blocks (originally designed to make a fabric 'book'); the back was much more complicated and took much longer since I did another alphabet sequence in embroidered word blocks set in diagonal stripes.
