Matisse Material: Relay for Life, May 2008

I found 3 lengths of various Matisse prints at Hancock's of Paducah in April 2007. It took me a while to figure out what kind of quilt to make with it, but I eventually settled on the same random cut-and-shuffle log cabin style that I used in the 2006 AIDS fundraiser quilt. This one is bigger with more fabric variety. This is the second quilt to benefit ACS Relay for Life. The other quilt is Peony Pizazz.

I used a brightly colored varigated thread to repeatedly quilt a simple abstract Matisse leaf shape that appears in the fabrics.
