Stars & Stuff: Market Place Quilt, March 2016

Someone donated a strip of 11 pieced rectangles of star fabrics,. Someone asked if I could make a quilt out of the donation, so I took some of the pieces apart and combined them with kid-friendly fabric from my stash.
The back is a periwinkle flannel twin sheet from the thrift store, and the top was quilted with free-form starts and horizontal and vertical inch-wide parallel lines, then bound with bright colored leftover binding pieced.
