Purple Prose is made from "Turning Twenty" pattern blocks, a dozen of which I won several years ago from the 20th anniversary party of the Heritage Quilters of Huntsville. I made 8 additional blocks, including the purple unicorn fabric from my friend Lisa in a tribute to the Sirsi software we all spent so many years working with.
Each of the twenty blocks is embroidered in a different color and font with a synonym for purple: amethyst, aubergine, eggplant, grape, heather, heliotrope, hyacinth, indigo, iris, lavender, lilac, magenta, mauve, orchid, periwinkle, plum, puce, violet, wine, wisteria.
