Fusing Fun Class with Laura Wasilowski, Sept. 2010
Michele (an HQH guild friend) and I stayed in Paducah, KY, for a 3-day workshop taught by Laura Wasilowski. No sewing machine required. We had a good time and ate lots of barbeque (BBQ festival was right next door to the Museum where our workshop was held).

This piece (a scene I have often drawn when trying out graphics software) was used to incorporate different fusing techniques: collage, bias strip piecing, bias strip weaving, and fused lacework.
Quilted and embellished with more fused elements (trees, glittery fabric for mountain peaks) and embroidery (lots of French knots in diminishing sizes, metallic lines)
