Snowball Music, Oct.-Dec 2008

This baby quilt was done for my friend Elaine's first grandchild. Elaine sings in several local choruses, and her son and daughter-in-law are both musical, so Elaine asked for music theme when I offered to make a baby quilt. As it happened, I had lots of music fabric left from my nephew Ryan's graduation quilt, so little other material was needed. The inner portion of the quilt is the Snowball pattern, with thin gray and cream inner borders, and the outside is a simple border using a red and black stripe. It is quilted in a lazy cable.

Elaine was able to take the unfinished top to the baby shower in early Nov., and her grandson, also named Ryan, was born on Nov. 1s7. Elaine got the finished quilt on Dec. 6, 2008.
