Baby Jungle Birds, Feb. 2010
With the leftover blocks from my great-nephew Owen's quilt, I made a quilt for a friend's baby. Craig and his wife Wendy are expecting a new baby very soon. This quilt is a bit smaller and only has appliqued birds and no embroidery. It has three borders, an inner one of dark green, then one of sky blue, then the jungle print. The quilting was similar: inner portion was quilted in wavy diagonal lines in yellow-green alternating with red and jade green; the outer borders were done in light blue echo quilting alternating with leaves.
