Charlotte's Star, August 2007
Made for Charlotte O., a friend from SirsiDynix who left the company last year. Charlotte and
I picked out the fabrics and pattern together from heaps of books and piles of fabric. It is another
paper-pieced Mariner's Compass. In this pattern there is a full compass in the middle and a
quarter compass in each corner.
modified the original design after misplacing some fabric. Instead of a yellow background for the
star, I set the mostly blue star against a blue backround, separated with lime green piping.
My friend Lisa had taken a piping/quilting class and loaned me her foot and instruction book so
I could add this feature to the Charlotte's quilt.
