Blue Plate Special, Sept 2021

This is my version of the "Pippa" quilt, designed by Ana Davis. Started in 2016, when we moved into our new house, my version in blue/white/yellow was intended to hang on a wall of the sunroom. I ran into some problem after the center "plate" blocks were cut and the 4-patch blocks were almost done, so abandoned the project. Picked this project back up in 2021 and was able to get it together in a couple of days. The yellow morning glory fabric in the 4-patch blocks started as a skirt; the white/blue morning glory print started as pillow shams for the guest bedroom at old 608. The backing is the blue/yellow colorway of Waverly fabric called "China Shop", a length of fabric previously used as a tablecloth in our old 608 house (kitchen done in blue/white/yellow). No new fabric was purchased -- everything is from my current fabric stash.
