Watery Windows : Betsy's Bed Quilt, Nov 2011-Mar 2012

Made for my sister Betsy (she unwrapped the top only for Christmas 2011) using 2 panels of North American Wildlife/Ocean purchased at the Mariner's Compass quilt shop in Panama City, FL. Cut this panel up (using dolphin and turtle blocks twice, and excluding the sea otters)and made it into the Attic Windows pattern, using the extra panels to have sea creatures "swimming" outside the window frames. Betsy had this quilt folded over the back of the white sofa in my mother's living room in Ft Walton Beach, FL. I was able to find another pieced of the same panel almost 10 years later to make a quilt for a friend's grandson.

After Betsy's death in 2017, I made a new label for this quilt and donated it to the Alzheimer's Rummage Sale (Aug 25 2018).
