Dining With Friends, May 2007 /AIDS Action Coalition Fundraiser
This is a 45" x 45" wallhanging made for the 2007 DWF theme "A Time To Dine" with actual clockworks in the bottom place setting. Only the floral centerpiece with the ribbon roses is quilted. Pockets at both top and bottom hold curtain rods to support the weight of the centerpiece and the clockworks.
The inspiration for this piece was a quilt I saw at the 2006 AQS show in Paducah.
Floral tablecloth and striped napkins are fabric from Hobby Lobby;
maroon placemats are made from unused curtains;
plates are nice marbled fabric previously used in golf quilt;
silverware is from fabric previously used in plumbing quilt;
gold ultrasuede plate is from a skirt;
floral centerpiece fabric is from a wedding quilt; and, Lisa Witteman made the wonderful ribbon roses in the centerpice.
